Michael Truman Cavanaugh’s journey weaves together theater and the art of facilitation. Born in Boise, Idaho, Cavanaugh’s career began with an honors BFA in Stage Management and an M.A. in Puppet Arts. Specializing in large-scale musicals and Shakespearean performances, he built a reputation for orchestrating the chaos of live theater: overseeing timelines, motivating teams and managing expectations, ensuring the show would "go on." 

When the pandemic disrupted the performance industry, Cavanaugh pivoted, embracing change as an opportunity. He earned his Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum Master (CSM) and Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certificates. 

In 2021, Cavanaugh joined Stanford Medicine’s Supply Chain team as a project coordinator, quickly rising to senior training specialist by 2022. Beyond developing leading-edge training programs for Stanford’s teams, Cavanaugh also served as a change management lead on an enterprise transition from two legacy ERP systems to a single cloud-based ERP. As a continuous learner, Cavanaugh has since achieved his Certified Scrum Professional- Scrum Master (CSP-SM).
