Dan Lewis began his professional career after graduating from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, working as a tugboat captain transporting oil barges along the East Coast. After several years at sea, he decided to pursue an advanced degree by earning his MBA from Suffolk University. 

Upon completing his MBA in 1996, Lewis joined Mass General Brigham and is now the senior director of Supply Chain Operations. His responsibilities include management of Procure-to-Pay operations, Value Analysis, Supply Chain Systems, Content Management and the recently added Resiliency Operations. 

Lewis’ ERP experience dates to Mass General Brigham’s implementation of PeopleSoft in 1998, as well as playing a significant role in the transition to Workday, going live on January 1st of this year.
