Joy Alvey is a procurement operations specialist at WVU Medicine (WVU), reporting to the manager, Supply Chain Integration. In her current role, Alvey is responsible for implementing, maintaining, supporting and training on the materials management information system, Workday, and is responsible for all things GHX and EDI.  

Prior to joining WVU, Alvey spent over 20 years working in various capacities at Owens & Minor and Medline, Inc., as well as a short stint as a supplier Customer Service Manager (CSM) at GHX. All of this has contributed to a very well-rounded knowledge of supply chain analytics and automation from both the supplier and provider perspectives.
