Dr. Patrick Osam is a distinguished medical professional with a rich background in general, trauma, breast cancer, and laparoscopic surgery. A pre-med honor graduate from Hendrix College, a small liberal arts college in central Arkansas, Dr. Osam went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Arkansas Medical School. Following his general surgery residency at the same institution, he served in the surgery department teaching faculty for a brief period.

In 1978, Dr. Osam transitioned into private practice at Baptist Health in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he continued to build his expertise and reputation in the field. During his surgical career at Baptist Health, Dr. Osam initiated a Nutritional Support Service, played a key role in establishing the EMS system for the metropolitan area of Little Rock, contributed to the development of the helicopter transport service for Baptist Health, organized the Trauma Service, and served as the director of the Advanced Trauma Life Support Course for Physicians of the American College of Surgeons.

After a remarkable career, he retired in December 2016. However, his passion for healthcare led him to take on a consultation role with Baptist Health in 2017. His responsibilities evolved to Physician Project Lead for the corporate system and clinical advisor to the CQVA team and Supply Chain department.

Today, Dr. Osam lends his extensive experience and knowledge to the Clinical Committee for Captis, making a continued impact on the world of medicine.
