The GHX Summit is an annual, in-person event that brings together healthcare providers, suppliers and distributors for three days of real-world learning, best practice sharing and networking. Now in its 24th year, the GHX Summit is perfect for all levels of attendees—from the executive to the frontline workforce—who are looking to help advance the patient-centered business of healthcare.

 

With an emphasis that spans tactical and strategic approaches, the GHX Summit provides a unique opportunity for healthcare providers and suppliers to better understand the challenges they both face and build a path to stronger trading relationships.

The GHX Summit offers four distinct session types that cover a wide range of topics. Attendees can tailor their experience to meet their specific interests and learning goals.
 

  • General Sessions – Nationally renowned experts, thought leaders and notable personalities bring inspiration and insight to grow both professionally and personally.
  • Breakout Sessions –Providers, suppliers and other industry representatives share actionable expertise, strategies, best practices and success stories on some of the most critical issues affecting healthcare. 
  • Summit20 Talks –Experts, influencers and transformational leaders share knowledge and insights on trending topics in these popular, 20-minute TED Talk-style presentations.
  • Solution Overviews – Product experts take an in-depth look at GHX solutions, highlighting not just how they work but the value they provide and the challenges they help solve.

Summit Central is an expansive area where attendees gather to collaborate, connect and learn. It’s open throughout the GHX Summit except during General Sessions.

  • GHX Experience – Learn how GHX solutions work together to drive digital transformation and help strengthen the patient-centered business of healthcare.

  • GHX Shop – Redeem points earned throughout the GHX Summit and pick from a selection of unique take-home items. Or choose to convert your points to a donation benefiting one of several nonprofit community impact organizations.  

The GHX Summit provides opportunities for attendees to connect and engage with each other. From the opening reception to casual dinners, participants can build relationships in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. 

Winners of the 2023 GHXcellence Awards will be announced and celebrated during the GHX Summit 2024. Additionally, we will recognize:

AGENDA, ATTENDEE LIST and PRESENTATIONS

The 2024 program covers a broad range of topics providing healthcare organizations with new knowledge, insights and best practices around today's critical challenges.

The Schedule-at-a-Glance, featuring a general day-by-day flow of activities, can be found on the GHX Summit home page. In early 2024, a preliminary agenda will be published showing presentation and speaker information of confirmed sessions, and will be updated frequently as new sessions are confirmed. The fully detailed agenda will be published closer to the event.  
   
Registrants will receive an email notification when the initial session list is published, when the detailed agenda is published, and when other significant announcements warrant. The agenda is subject to change at any point before or during the GHX Summit. 

Curious what the agenda will be like? While the GHX Summit schedule and sessions are new each year, viewing last year's online agenda may give you a feel for what to expect.

Select sessions will be recorded and made available to registrants after the GHX Summit. More details will be shared closer to the event.    

Yes, the mobile app will be available roughly 2-3 weeks before the GHX Summit. Registrants will receive an email with instructions when the app is available to download.

Registrants will be able to view attendee names and organizations in the event mobile app.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT

Yes, the GHX Summit is a great way to earn AHRMM-approved CECs for maintaining your Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) designation. Closer to the event, we will share which sessions qualify for CEC credits. 

The number of CECs earned is based on sessions attended. Badge scanning at the entrance to sessions will validate your participation.

Provider attendees who earn CECs will receive their certificate via email from summit@ghx.com in June 2024. 

DATES, TIMES and LOGISTICS 

  • The GHX Summit begins: Monday, May 13, 2024 (late afternoon; exact time TBA) 
  • The GHX Summit ends: Thursday, May 16, 2024 (mid-late morning; exact time TBA)
  • Recommended arrival: Monday, May 13, prior to 3:00 PM CT 
  • Recommended departure: Thursday, May 16, after Noon CT  

The GHX Summit offers early and standard registration options: 

  • Early registration (through Feb 23, 2024): $1,100/person 
  • Standard registration (starting Feb 24, 2024): $1,500/person  

All attendees receive the following:

  • Attendance at General Sessions, Breakout Sessions, Summit20 Talks and Product Overviews (some exceptions may apply based on a specific session's recommended audience)
  • Access to Summit Central throughout the GHX Summit 
  • Meals beginning with heavy hors d'oeuvres at the opening reception on Monday, May 13, through breakfast on Thursday, May 16
  • Conference materials and handouts
  • Event mobile app access and conference space wi-fi 

Prorated registration options are not available. 

No, a discount is not available for multiple attendees from one organization.

Note: If you select to pay by check, you will receive “balance due” email reminders until payment has posted. A confirmation will be sent when payment is received.  

Yes, wire payments are due within 30 days of registration. If you selected to wire payment in registration, please email summit@ghx.com to provide the date your payment will be wired and for further instructions.

The GHX Summit 2024 activities are taking place at:

No, hotel cost is not included in the GHX Summit registration fee.

Rooms are available at the JW Marriott Austin for the rate of $269/night plus tax. Rates available for the period starting three days pre-Summit through three days post-Summit, based on hotel availability.

Please book your hotel as soon as possible; availability is first come, first served. The deadline to reserve your room at the negotiated rate is Wednesday, April 17, 2024. 

Please register for the GHX Summit before booking your hotel room. Upon completion of your event registration, a link to the JW Marriott's online reservation system will be provided: 
•    On your registration confirmation page  
•    In the email confirming your Summit registration

To receive the room block rate, you must reserve your room using the GHX-provided link. A credit card is required to reserve a room; no charge will be incurred at the time of reservation. Note that you will receive a hotel confirmation number separate from your GHX Summit registration number.

GHX room block rates are available three days before and after the GHX Summit. Make your extended reservation just as you normally would, entering the full date range of your intended stay. 

A credit card is required for all reservations at the JW Marriott Austin, as is standard practice across the hotel industry. Your credit card will not be charged at the time of reservation.

Please refer to your reservation confirmation email from the JW Marriott Austin for instructions on modifying your hotel reservation.

Please contact JW Marriott Austin directly to cancel a room reservation. Contact information can be found on your reservation confirmation email from JW Marriott. Cancellations must be received 48 hours in advance to avoid a 1-night charge.  

Note: If you cancel your GHX Summit registration, you are responsible for your canceling hotel.
