Ben Auer is the senior supply chain informatics analyst at Froedtert Health in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In his current role, Auer oversees Froedtert’s EDI and GHX connections. He is the main supply chain contact and lead on the EDI projects at Froedtert Health. From a systems standpoint, Auer has deep knowledge in contracts, purchasing, surgery interfaces, vendor mergers, punchouts, GS1 data, new location and entity onboarding, invoice matching, and item master management. Working with suppliers to utilize EDI/GHX for consignment orders has been a particular area of focus for him.

Auer started at Froedtert Health in 2014 and spent four years as a buyer. In addition to his procurement duties, he trained team members and led process improvement efforts. Prior to working at Froedtert Health, Auer worked in purchasing at Milwaukee Health Services, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
