Karen Conway works to advance the role of the supply chain to achieve a value-based healthcare system that optimizes the cost and quality of care while improving both equity and sustainability in care delivery. She applies her knowledge of supply chain operations and systems thinking to align data and processes to improve health outcomes and the performance of organizations upon which an effective healthcare system depends. 
 
Conway previously served as vice president of Healthcare Value for GHX, helping grow the technology start-up into a multibillion-dollar global business platform that has transformed the healthcare supply chain. Conway is the former national chair of AHRMM, the supply chain association for the American Hospital Association, and an honorary member of the Health Care Supplies Association in the UK.  She currently serves as an advisor to IIA Healthcare and on the U.S. Health and Human Services Task Force on Forced Labor in the Supply Chain. She has also held board and leadership positions with GS1 Global Healthcare, SMI, and the healthcare advisory board for CAPs Research.  

Conway is a co-author of Strategic Management of the Healthcare Supply Chain (Wiley, 2023) and Leading from the Edge, a best-selling book on global leadership (ATD Press, 2013). She holds a master’s in the Science of Healthcare Delivery from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s degree from The Colorado College.
