As a healthcare strategy senior director, Melissa Amell brings more than 20 plus years of hospital and health system supply chain management experience in areas such as value analysis, reporting and analytics, MMIS/ERP, distribution, purchasing, contract negotiations, vendor relations, and supply chain planning and development. She characterizes herself as both an operator and an implementor and firmly believes data is the foundation of all operations.
 
Prior to joining Infor in early 2019, Amell served as the system director of Supply Chain Operations for Tenet Healthcare; an 80-hospital health system based in Nashville, Tennessee. While responsible for a $2.3 billion-dollar annual supply spend, comprised of $600 million in med/surg distribution, she also drove significant programs focused on cost reduction, improved efficiencies and standardization, including supply policy and procedure development, across the Tenet enterprise. 
 
Amell started her supply chain career at Ascension Health where she held many leadership positions throughout her 13-year tenure based at St. Thomas Health Services in Nashville, Tennessee.
Amell’s determination and competitive streak make her an innovator; always seeking ways to improve. While her passion for data and insights drives her enthusiasm to connect with clients to find ways to make positive impacts – big or small, every day.
 
Amell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Human Resources from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Management, Healthcare from Vanderbilt University, Owen Graduate School of Management.
