Monica Vajani

Monica Vajani is currently the executive director of Innovation at GHX. She has over 16 years of healthcare experience inclusive of Product Development, Account Management, and Business Development within the Payer and Provider segments. In her current role, Vajani is responsible for leading new business initiatives that promote clinical integration and align with the future of value-based care.  

Vajani spent 10 years as a cardiac medical device representative at Abbott and Medtronic in the Chicago and Columbus markets before transitioning to entrepreneurship as an account director of MATTER, a startup healthcare incubator headquartered in Chicago. At MATTER, Vajani worked closely with 20+ corporate innovation teams across payers, health systems, and pharma to support their strategic objectives in the acceleration of new ideas and advised over 50 startups on pitching their business model to healthcare stakeholders. Most recently, she spent the last two years at CVS within their Transformation division, supporting the development of new services geared toward providers, consumers, and payers through business case development, pilot design and execution.  

Vajani received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis and her master’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
