Lei Yu, the senior director Data Science at Expression Networks, has over 20 years of research and development experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science. Before joining Expression Networks in May 2021, Yu received his PhD in Computer Science from Arizona State University in 2005, and then worked at Binghamton University as a professor for 16 years, where he graduated 6 PhD students, and directed or co-directed a number of interdisciplinary research projects funded by $4.8 million grants received from DOD, DOE, NSF, NY state, and industry. Yu has published dozens of research articles in premier international AI/ML venues. His research has been cited over 10,000 times and led to two U.S. patents.
