Managing and processing EDI and OCR-based consignment orders can be a time-consuming, labor-intensive, and costly challenge for healthcare suppliers and providers. Many large and small provider organizations do not have the technical capability to exchange “perfect” EDI POs with their suppliers.
 
Medtronic and GHX have collaborated this year to identify multiple, longstanding pain points in the EDI / Consignment ordering process, piloting GHX’s Intelligent Business Rules (IBR) to enrich and transform EDI and OCR-based documents more easily, with significantly greater automation and accuracy.
